By Geneva Convention Israel allowed to blow up those houses together with inhabitants and yet .....

As I kid I learned at school what happened to the Jews during WWII. I also saw Schindler's list. It was horrible what the Germans did to the Jewish people.

This was the reason that for decades Israel always had my sympathy and support. But you have lost me...

The way the Jews treat the Palestinans has at least some parallels with how the Germans treated you/them 60 years ago.

I have seen many documentaries about the so called settlers. I believe they are monsters acting like they are Ubermenschen and the Palestinans Untermenschen.

Having said that; I know there is no simple solution (although a simple redrawal worked fine in Lebanon), I know the Palestinans are no saints and have committed crimes against Israeli women and children.

But my heart goes to the Palestinans because they are the underdog. As my heart went to the Jews when they were the underdog.

I'm encouraged by the demonstration in Israel this weekend. I am also encouraged by the condemnation of the US/Colin Powell about Israel's plan to destroy the houses. Let's hope that this is not and incident. Let's hope the US finally stops backing Israel 100% no matter what the facts are.

And let's hope the Jews stop pretending that they are the good guys and the Palestinans are the bad guys. Because that is not the truth.

Let's hope for the best but I am not optimistic.

Paul
