This market is a risk in either direction ..

not just a "pattern."

It's based on several "truths" I've ran into over the years ..

1. The stock market is corrupt
2. The stock market is manipulated.
3. Options move the market.
4. sellers of options move the market to the desired location to maximize profits .. or at least try to.
5. "news" events tend to materialize to support market movement in the required direction.
6. markets tend to move in the required direction, in spite of the nature of the "news."

Overall .. market forces could overcome the manipulation. But betting on such a rare event, I think, is about the same as betting on the fall of the dollar.
