McCain as Veep or McCain as SOD. McCain is 68 years old and suffers from melanoma. He probably has four more years of public service to perform. His Senate position aint chopped liver either. He has been clear that he wouldnt take the VP offer if it came. I think it has to do more with the time frame it comes in and what actual power he will have. IMHO, anything that moves kerry away from the maniacs (i mean deaniacs) in that once great political party would work well for the US. OTOH, if Bush continues to grovel at the feat (er feet) of his employees, VP, and campaign spinners, McCain may just choose country over political party and personal gain. Why should we ultimately expect anything less from this great American hero? Of course Bush could rise to the occasion and start talking to DAD rather than God about the affairs of men. Mike PS Pat Paulsen may be running so please vote for him to show us all the left is alive and silly. <g>
