All Americans did come together after 9-11 check out Bush's approval rating at that time:

Approval rating approaching the upper 80 percentile. If you want to post a few anecdoctal posts of a few super liberals and use that as evidence that Americans were not united, then in your mind we will never be united if we were not united on 9-12.

You're the one that owes an apology here.

Mario Cuomo stating that we need to understand how this happened does not mean anything. Many people asked that question.

Not enough time to read them all. But amazing how many experts we had on Silicon in the immediate aftermath of 9/11. And their input was so specific! We are so lucky! LOL
