Buying time for the public to stop fighting nuclear power plant construction. Time to develop the Tokomats or fusion power generators, to harness energy forms that power the stars.

Short term we need time to get the windmills, tidal waves, geothermal, fuel cells, and solar sources funded and working. More efficient cars on the road.

Sig, if you really believe what you write, and I agree generally with you, then how much would the 2-300 BILLION dollars we're spending in Iraq do to begin that undertaking?

How much leadership have you seen from the big oil-funded Bush White House on these initiatives? How much leadership have you seen from the President or Vice President of the U.S. in terms of educating the American public concerning the huge task ahead of us?

I know how you lean politically and I'm curious to hear your views on that apparent disconnect?

It should sink in to the public at about what price? $5/gal ?. And then we will hear the screams about what the government should have done.

Why blame the "public" when their leaders are silent? Leadership is defined by the ability to use greater wisdom to guide the public in a better direction.
