Bush is a breezier personality than Kerry for sure but as much as I'd rather have a few drinks with Bush at the 19th hole, I'd be much better off spending the time hanging with Kerry who will actually give you deep insight into the realities of the world.

Kerry is a man who speaks the whole truth from a very deep place. Yes he's a politician so he can smooze and play the game if he needs to, but fundamentally the guy is very real, very honest and extremely astute about what needs to be done. He also clearly cares. Not about himself so much as about us and our world. He is also way too smart to fall into any rightwing traps.

Disclaimer: I have never met Bush but spent about 45 minutes total time one on one with Kerry over 3-4 meetings. That was only possible since I worked for him long before Iowa when the whole world suddenly wanted to jump on the band wagon. I used my time well hitting him with tough questions as well as testing his resolve to beat Bush. I was amazed at his almost unworldly determination as if "it's your destiny Luke", his right-on truth-telling, courage to take on anything the GOP can dish out and his down to earth sense of humor. He also has a very attractive, loyal loving (and rich) family.

I have a fine BS radar and the man had zero BS in him. Bush on the other hand is likeable and funny but extremely full of it. Cheney is the one who really runs things for Bush. Kerry doesn't need anyone to run anything for him.
