The obvious difference between the Fallujah fighters and Sadr's boys is that the Sunni's are Pros. Street fighting really favors the defense. Especially when we can't just blow the city away.

United States forces say they have killed at least 50 militiamen loyal to radical Shiite Muslim cleric Moqtada al-Sadr in heavy overnight clashes in Iraq’s south.
US Brigadier General Mark Kimmitt says fighting in the downtown area of the Muslim holy city of Karbala continued for much of the night.

Coalition forces estimated up to 30 people were killed.

In Nasiriyah, Brig Gen Kimmitt says coalition forces killed about 20 Sadr loyalists in air strikes.

A smallish release of Sarin is relatively easy to treat. The shell in question would have been far more dangerous if the dual agent precursors had mixed prior to impact, as they were designed to do. Prior to release means prior to detonation, that's the designed sequence.
