Every man who gets himself in trouble should talk to DAD. The fact that Dad losts makes it even better as he can learn from dads failure as opposed to being spoonfed the cw conservative reasons. It was far less about the tax cuts and far more about being out of touch with average americans. Sounds like the son has the same problem because he is being shielded from all but ardent fans by his handlers. As far as suggestions, it starts with new leadership and new tactics and strategies. For instance Falujah and Najaf are being responded to creatively. Sure Rummy is a creative guy too and could do this but he has been discredited both at home and abroad. There are other folks who can do this job. I buy into what brooks says about americans, after a burst of idealism, look for practical alternatives. Are you still expecting one man one vote for iraq? I would take a Charles De Gaulle there any day, if there is one to be found. I will also take a somewhat democratic islamic shiia region as well as a democratic kurdish area with a pledge to unite with the Triangle when conditions are right. Mike
