If the shell in question had not been old and rusty, and had worked as it was designed to work, the people in the vicinity would be dead.

Exactly.
Don't you understand, there are no assurances that the next shells will be that way.

I know more chemistry than you.

I am duly impressed.

Nice edit BTW.

Bush has been very careful not to exaggerate this. He learned something in the last months. It's a good sign for me because i still want to vote for the guy.
I am thinking that Rove sucks as a guru and bush should fire him and hire Dick Morris who is really so supportive of this admins fp. MIke
PS I better put on the helmet and body armor as i have just suggested firing another one of this threads heroes. People who put party, ideology or individuals ahead of national interests amaze me. These folks are looking more and more like the democrats who nominated Mondale and Dukakis. Death Wish for those who think loyalty to staff is the chief test for a good president.

Do you know why the shell did not work as it was supposed to?

I agree that one Sarin shell doesn't make a stockpile, a point which should be obvious. On the other hand, I think it's important to keep an open mind. There was simply too much evidence of WMD before the war for anyone to be comfortable with the unqualified proposition that they were not a problem or that Saddam "didn't have any."
