Maybe we should have a contest for when AMD 90 nm parts will appear for sale on Pricewatch (in stock).

Pravin.

<Do not think for a moment that AMD did not realize how "for revenue shipment" in Q3 would be interpreted. They know that Intel used those exact words and what that came to mean.>

AMD has been stating for quite some time that 90 nm would be for revenue shipment in Q3 They stated that 50 percent crossover from 130 nm to 90 nm would occur between Q4 and Q1 so I still say to wait and see what the ramp really is before crucifying them.

Pravin, AMD has been using "for revenue shipment" for months now. Where have you been? I suspect they would like to rehabilitate the term, w.r.t. Intel.

Where are you getting "volume production" in early April from? Since last November it has been (volume) production wafer starts in *Q2*, with shipments for revenue in Q3.

Rivet did imply early April for starts on March 1, which did not happen, and then at the CC, Hector said starts within "a few weeks", which is what has transpired.

By my reckoning, May 1 is only 1/3 of the way through Q2, so it's quite a good performance, based on the Nov 6th guidance.

So, as I said, there is no slip w.r.t. guidance from last November.

Tony Smith is spreading FUD.
