I had read that. My best guess is that Rummy is history, for a couple of reasons. First is contrition, this has really hurt our reputation around the world. We need a big scapegoat; we need to show we take it seriously. Second, in the ME, it could get more of our soldiers killed. Rummy losing his job is a small price to pay for saving soldiers lives. Third, he's a liability to Bush. He's identified with the abuses. In an election year. If it's Rummy or the chance that Bush loses, Rummy goes. The image of prisoner sexual abuse doesn't exactly jive with the Christian Bush image, to distance himself he needs to take serious action.

And I wouldn't be surprised if it happened before the week is out. It's quiet at the WH.

I agree, but I would be surprised if its that soon but then you may be right.........the WH IS very quiet......so is DR. Is there a connection? <g>

I know that Powell now is speaking from the heart. Did you see what his assistant pulled on Sunday? I was amazed when I saw the video. Tim Russert was beside himself. These are bizarre times.

Bush's foundation is crumbling.......however, I don't think its enough to take him [Bush] down before the election.
