Thanks. I appreciate that. Unlike most people I have actually vetted John Kerry in person. I have a keen radar for BS and for arrogant SOB's and Kerry is the opposite. I also had dinner with two of his top people (who thought I was some big-shot so they courted me) and I asked them a lot of tough questions about John. The first thing you pick up is an organization steeled by honesty and high ethics. Not a single dollar will knowingly go into that campaign with any strings attached. That in itsel;f sets it far apart from Bush-Cheney. When I spoke to Kerry on several occasions it was like talking to an old and dear friend even though he didn't know me. He listens, cares, is enagged, has a brilliant mind, a big heart, tough and courageous but warm, confident and compassionate. Some rightwingers say Kerry married for money, but believe me, Teresa is the lucky one. John is one of those very rare truly remarkable, impressive and honest individuals. He really loves his country and takes the responsibility of leadership very seriously. After all his experience and accomplishments, he is one of the few people I can think of who truly merits and deserves to be president. Just the fact that he was a preppy Yalie who could have avoided war yet volunteered to lead in the hottest combat zone in Nam speaks volumes. Not a single elite Republican rightwinger currenbtly in power even got close to any kind of combat. He also has that sense of destiny. Even though his father was not rich or powerful, he somehow knows he is destined for this. He has a deep sense of mission, not for himself but for the country. Somehow he has always known this. Clinton had the same inner feeling. It's uncanny. I can personally vouch for him. He'll be a great president. He blows GW Bush away except as a smoozer. And one more thing, this is the first campaign I have ever gotten involved in. Ever. My gut feeling that this is the one worth fighting for.
