GZ,

I have a friend that started developing kidney complications, and gout a couple of months ago. He is not recovering particularly well.

I am now on my own modified Asian diet after trying low carb (which worked for weight control).

Fruit, nuts, 4-8 oz of protein, lots of salad and vegetables, occasionally whole grains.

4 months in --it is something i can do everyday and not feel as if I am on a restrictive diet.

I have also stopped taking Lipitor and Prilosac. The big test is when I get the blood work back later this month.

J.D.
