Gus, there are days when I wonder if you live under a rock. How about the oil companies? Or the currency speculators who have seen a 30% decrease in the dollar? Or the the plywood manufacturers who have seen 200%-400% mark ups on their products in the past year? Or steel products that have doubled in the same period?

Unocal alone spent $175 million lobbying for a pipeline in Afghanistan, which they are now building.

Why do you think these companies spend the kind of money they do lobbying our government? Do you believe it's an altruistic endeavor to benefit we the people?
