I have watched too many "Washington big shots" huff and puff behind closed doors about getting out there and pushing their message while they ignore or dismiss the criticisms and contradictions swirling around them. When they get skewered in the headlines like this, they blame "bad press management", LOL. Something about working inside the Beltway convinces people they can mold reality instead of having to deal with it. Part of the reason I left public sector employment a few years ago. Plenty of quirks in the private sector, too, but somehow they are less grandiose and bizarre.
