You are gonna love it. It's about the heroic acts of the IDF 'defending themselves'. (wank, wank, you know what I mean). Israeli Attack on Gaza Protest Kills at Least 12 Palestinian Demonstrators Struck by Tank, Helicopter Fire RAFAH, Gaza Strip, May 19 -- An Israeli tank and helicopter fired on rock-throwing Palestinian demonstrators Wednesday, killing at least 12 people and wounding dozens of others, according to witnesses. Israeli media put the number of dead at 22. Many of the injured were young teenagers and young people, the Associated Press reported from the scene. It was the second consecutive day of death and injury in this densely populated area of the Gaza Strip. At least 19 Palestinians were killed Tuesday as Israeli forces went street by street and house by house seeking to root out Palestinian fighters and weapons. The White House said it was "very concerned" about the reports, according to AP. "We've asked for the government of Israel for the facts about what happened today," White House press secretary Scott McClellan said. "We continue to follow this closely. We urge all parties to exercise maximum restraint." Then the tank and an Israeli assault helicopter fired at the crowd itself, witnesses said. Kahmis Shaer, who was in the protesting crowd, said everyone was in a state of shock. "I saw a guy with his head chopped off and another with his arm off and another hit in the stomach." Witnesses said that while the crowd was shouting slogans, they heard no warning before the tank opened fire. A dozen or more ambulances came screaming down the main street, picking up the victims and racing back to the nearby hospital, already overflowing with the wounded from Tuesday's battles. Israel's army said it had begun an investigation on Wednesday, the Reuters news service reported. "The Israeli army is investigating this incident. This is a combat zone filled with explosive devices laid in advance by the Palestinians. It is premature to know exactly what happened in Rafah," Captain Sharon Feingold told Reuters. Operation Rainbow, as the Israelis called it, is the biggest incursion into the Gaza Strip since the Palestinian uprising bega
