NVLS and VSEA were both downgraded this am and as of now, each is up more than 2 times AMAT on a percentage basis!

RE: "Given the large size and significant market share, the company's businesses appear to be maturing..."

Size is relative and in AMAT's case is primarily due to R & D that works in new areas, not typical of the industry. Market share has nothing to do with "businesses...maturing" and neither does size, here.

RE: "...limited visibility into...order growth in 4Q..."

The actual "limitation" is the company policy not to forecast that far ahead. The more important "limitation" is the clueless nature of the analysts and their fear of looking ahead on their own.

WR Hambrecht probably should stop pretending they have analysts and do research.
