Sultan, [text added] assuming WinXP I'd go to 'my network places' and click on 'set up home or small office network'. A wizard will appear. If that fails, try the procedure below...

[added text]
shutdown
1. pc
2. router
3. modem
[all three off for 3-5 minutes]

start up
1. modem
2. router
3. pc

note... it is as important to shut down properly as it is to
start up properly.
also note... one sequence is the exact opposite of the other,
i.e, last off is first on and so forth

thanks to mr. mark
Gottfried

What is the problem? Can't get a wireless connection to the laptop?

What's the firmware rev on the router? Should be at least 1.44.2z.

On the router, is DHCP server enabled?

If yes, is the wireless network card in the laptop set to obtain IP address automatically?

If yes, is the laptop being assigned an IP address? (C> IPCONFIG - should be something like 192.168.1.nnn or 192.168.0.nnn.

If yes, can the laptop access the router interface via http? 192.168.?.1 or something like that. (Can be found on router's status screen as LAN IP Address.)
