Probably the main difference between the rightists here and the leftists is that the rightists see everything in black and white. "Good Guys" and "Bad Guys". Leftist tend to see people as what they really are, a mix of good and bad, driven by their experiences, ignorance and prejudices. Hence the terms "Good Guys" and "Bad Guys" used by soldiers and rightists. Every war has it's propaganda. Soldiers are taught to see the enemy as less than human so they don't hesitate to kill them. It's easier to think in black and white terms. The reality in life is it's not so simple. It's harder to sort out who is good and bad in a complex world of shades of grey. The truth about the Israel/Palestine conflict is that there are leftists and moderates on both sides as well as extremists. The extremists are the ones perpetuating the conflict. They are the ones with the beef so it is in their interest to perpetuate the beef. Sharon's government and Hamas are the ones perpetuating this not Sharon or Hamas only. The two are like siamese twins, one wouldn't exist without the other. Each side recruits hatred among the young with each atrocity. Israel has more money and hence better PR, they always claim they are only after 'bad guys' but the truth is they are indiscriminate about who they kill or what they bulldoze. Unfortunately some here believe the propaganda being put out by these people.
