The incident apparently happened after wedding guests started firing in the air in celebration.

Even if we get a working democracy set up in Iraq, we will not win this thing. Incidents like the one above or the Abu Ghraib abuse will be retold over and over again.

John, I'll tell ya.....this oil situation is very bad. Crude is staying over $40 per barrel. OPEC is claiming they will increase production but most oil experts claim that OPEC has maxed out their production and never cut it when they claimed they were cutting it last fall.

Meanwhile, there are only three nations in the world which can raise production significantly: Venezuela, Nigeria, and you guessed it, Iraq. We all know what Iraq's problem is, and Venezuela and Nigeria politically are so unstable its not likely they can raise production any time soon.

Like I've said before, I don't understand how this economy can expand with oil prices so high. I think I may start shutting down my portfolio while I still have some profit.......except for my NG and defense stocks. I think we may be in for a very bumpy ride.
