Hundreds of thousands of dead, tortured, oppressed Iraqis will agree with it.

Those thousands of dead, tortured and oppressed Iraqis
you refer to, are they the previous ones under Saddam, or
the current ones under Bush? You need to make the distinction.

I know in my heart and soul it is right to take a stand against brutal tyranny

Then why are you supporting a man who has so many allies among brutal tyrants? Including Saddam at one time?

You see Bush will support anyone who furthers his SHORT TERM goals. He's not interested in freedom, just winning short term.

In Vietnam, by the time we lost 58,000 soldiers, the Vietnamese had lost close to 3 million of their people, mainly civilians.

In Iraq, by the time we have lost 750 soldiers, the Iraqis have lost an estimated 9000-11000 so far.

So given enough time, we will do "as well as" Saddam, if not "better".
