Your supposition is that because there are no WMDs in Iraq does not necessarily confirm that Bush lied.

Not much of a stretch for a supposition. I'm not saying he didn't lie.

Thanks for regurgitating back your own position. I know what it is.....you could have saved yourself the time.

And even if you believe it IS a huge leap of faith, there are many who do not agree with you. That's the ultimate test in a democracy.

And there are many who do agree with me, esp. when you add those who think he didn't lie to those who think it is uncertain.</I?

Those numbers have changed considerably in the past few months. And there are still great numbers who think we found WMDs last year in Iraq. Mainly through ignorance do you have as many people as you do who think like you do. If they knew the truth, many of them would think Bush lied.

The opinions of the voters isn't the ultimate test of reality in a democracy or elsewhere.

I think that's where you are wrong...........what the voters think is the ultimate test in a democracy.

They determine who will be the next president and if the majority of voters think Bush made a whole serious of awful lies then Kerry will probably be the next president but even if Kerry does become president that doesn't prove that Bush's statements about Iraq where all a bunch of horrible lies.

Of course, it doesn't. Lying is just one of several potential reasons for voting a president out of office.

the Domino theory. I get nervous whenever the military comes up with cockamamie theories.

The more extreme versions of the domino theory might reasonable be called "cockamamie". The more mild versions of the theory turned out to be correct.

How so? I don't know if you can categorize a theory like cheese.....mild, sharp, extremely sharp. But I am curious as to your perspective.
