"Chaos invites change"

Indeed it does. The "strange" thing about chaos is the presence of attractors which tend to render asunder the best laid plans of mice and Neocons. Our on-going presence in Iraq isn't necessarily going to produce the change the 'cons want... Many people of good conscience are really wondering what really happens when we pull out. This attitude of "staying the course" reminds me of someone standing on an upright razor blade who refuses to get off lest they cut themselves more in the process.

Pulling out is going to be painful. That's why many people wanted us to be more circumspect before entering in the first place. The patriot who reminds us to "avoid entangling alliances" gets blamed, ostensibly for being un-American (definition vague, it would seem). usinfo.state.gov
