Cary,

Would you mind fleshing out this second scenario in a bit more detail? You say that it is based on an extrapolation of what is currently occurring and imply that it may mark "a permanent change in the how the industry does business".

What exactly is the trend that you are detecting and what are its causes, consequences, likely duration, and significance?

Sam

Another day where the market is up and AMAT is down, even after a stellar earnings report.....seems as though there are many on WS who seem intent on driving AMAT down.

Probably the most amazing thing about this is the fact that over these two days, much of the rest of the sector has been up. I would love somebody to offer an explanation of this. INTC is also up; and historically AMAT and INTC have mirrored each other very closely.

I don't get it!
