In business women are pretty equal here now. I remember when I first started in public accounting it was FROWNED upon to hire women cause we travelled a lot and it was not considered APPROPRIATE to send a single woman out of town with single men. I know as we began to hire women there was some resentment by the young male staff cause they NEVER sent a women out of town meaning the men had to carry their fair share as well as their own amount of travel. Eventually, this all ended and now women are treated just the same as men with absolutely no consideration as to their sex when scheduling jobs. jdn
