I have no idea what's going on with Chalabi, except that he's slicker than snake spit. A very, very smooth operator, very plausible, very good at telling people exactly what they want to hear, in a way that doesn't rouse suspicion. An Iraqi Bill Clinton or Edwin Edwards. Last time I paid attention, Edwin Edwards was finally headed to prison, and I know for a fact that Bill Clinton was the first US president to be impeached, and I believe that he was the first US president to surrender his bar license. But they had very good runs.
