Thanks, Michael. I happen to believe that the female drive to marry a successful man is hardwired into our brains, just as the male is fixated on beautiful faces and bodies.

The various human ways of dealing with these feelings are fascinating, to most of us, that's why Hollywood, Bollywood, etc. is one of the most successful industries world wide.

I know exactly what the author is talking about, but she left out the way I dealt with the problem - not intentionally - I married a younger man, who wasn't a success when I married him but had great potential. I thought I was marrying him for love (well, I did) but over time he's turned into a success object.
