There's a theory going around that this Chalabi thing is just a little Kabuki to give him some Iraqi street credibility of which he has none. The Americans are hated in Iraq, so a public fight with them will only make Chalabi more popular in Iraq which is the ultimate goal. It's just a theory at this point, and not necessarily one i agree with. I don't know enough about it to say. Or it could be an indication that the State Department is winning its battle with the DOD. As for the UN scandal Chalabi keeps throwing bombs with out showing the evidence. There could be a lot less there than meets the eye. Steve Dietrich
