Special ed is not something I've ever really looked at so I claim no expertise. I have a friend here who is a 6th grade spec ed teacher. She works her tail off. I would guess a good 60 hours a week or better. Half of that is paperwork to "prove" what she is doing, and meetings about it. This is for the Feds, or as a record if one of the families sues-a major potential problem. One of her 6th graders is in diapers. This program sucks up so much of the k-12 school budget that it is unbelievable.
