All of the soldiers who died and participated deserve respect.

The original comment was made that the US "saved" Europe which is a disgraceful remark which was intended to belittle the scrifices of the French in particular but also reflected upon the Dutch and the Soviets and many other brave soldiers.

It's not surprising that the original comment came from a so called "supporter" of the troops since I see no support for the SCAPEGOATS in the torture trials that are now going on.

Yes, America gave Stalin a little bit of help. But the Soviets did the heavy lifting.
