Tim, You didn't respond to the importance of the effect of the infractions, and how that effects how high it goes in the chain. The more important the effect of the action, the more it should have been anticipated and protected against. That's what these guys are supposed to do. I agree that it's a judgement call about the firing of Rummy (as it always is in political decisions). But at this point Bush is on his heels, he looks responsible, he looks weak. Is he in charge or not? John
