It's much simpler that that. I think and speak in English. The majority of what is published and relevant is English. (As is the majority of the crap that is published) That makes me understand how Anglos tick. But deep in there my brain carry the remains of my Portuguese-induced way of reasoning. Hence I can't be as telegraphic as a Canadian cop giving you directions to reach the post office. The benefit is with the English I know, plus the German that I learned to avoid them cheat me, the Latin root of the Portuguese language, that covers Spanish, French and Italian, and the 6 years I lived and worked in South East Asia, add to that the 8 and half years in 'wayo' land Nigeria and all that makes me get an understanding of most of the peoples of the world way of thinking. I don't fool myself that's the depth is enough, but I'm in a far better position than many other people in the planet to understand what is going on.
