Anger at Americans has been building here for three years over the Bush administration's perceived tilt toward Israel, the occupation of Iraq and, most recently, images of prisoner abuse in Iraq. An American might also be considered valuable for use in bargaining with Israel

Gee, do you suppose he would be so understanding if the IDF arrested him and threw him in the clink for a while?

To ask that question is to answer it. Why is it exactly, that the IDF has no right to anger, but Palestinian anger is "understood"? Are the Palestinians children? Are they wronged innocents, even as they shoot little girls point blank and parade body parts around? Shouldn't the basics of civilized restraint apply to them too?
