Humble one -

I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for Paul to respond, as for me though, no one has made a convincing case to me that options are an expense at time of issue. It will be interesting to see how this one plays out.

It is really disgusting that these SV execs are currently in the process of extending fraudulent accounting by lobbying Congress with their ill gotten gains, and are now even thumbing their nose at the votes of the owners. What a racket!!

carl,
how about that?

Amy has run off fighting W in far away lands, and I think the rest have migrated to Ihub Intel thread where a retired Intel employee moderates the posts.

And people wonder why stocks don't rise, execs are selling their freebies!

Steve

Carl, welcome back! By the way, that governor's recall race was a close one, wasn't it? You might have won if it wasn't for that movie star whose name escapes me right now ... ;-)

As for stock option expensing, I guess it's no longer worth it for the execs to argue against expensing, despite any principles they may believe in or ulterior motives they may have (depending on your point-of-view). The writing is on the wall.
