It is perhaps because of the missing man that the info on the arrest was "suppressed".....

It is SOP to keep the arrest under wraps until our guys thought that they had extracted all the useful intel we thought we could and also to avoid tipping off others involved that it might be a good idea to hide elsewhere....

Now they are saying:

The group that was involved in the killing of Berg was led by Yasser al-Sabawi, a nephew of Saddam Hussein, the security official said. He said American intelligence had asked Iraqi authorities to hand over the suspects, but they were still in Iraqi hands. Al-Sabawi was not among those arrested, the Iraqi official said.

It will be interesting to hear who they were working for and with, won't it?
