I think some are sadists. Real men or women could never be ordered to do what some of them did. I don't believe that.

Some delighted in doing some of their own work there for fun and sport. Those are sadists, IMHO.

If you were ordered to do what they did, would you? I don't think you would, and I doubt WJ would either. I hope not.

I'd tell them to go to hell.

Agreed, there's no question that it came from the top, imo. What's really remarkable is that someone thought it was a good idea to order soldiers to document their interrogation techniques, despite the fact that presumably it was obvious that, if it got out, it would be disastrous for our efforts in Iraq and for our reputation worldwide.
