Right, Brian. India is probably a good 10 to 15 years behind China in infrastructure. Also, since China is more centrally planned than India, it is easier to get the government to jumpstart an undertaking like this.

I am still a bit leery of the Asian development notion that every country worth its salt needs its own fab. I think often such projects are more about prestige than anything else. What is the skilled labor cost component of an operating fab?
