Know what happened to Japanese-Americans during WW2? You can not compare the relocation of Japanese-Americans during WWII to the prisoner abuse in Iraq. For one thing, during WWII, the USA treated all its POWs extremely well. Japanese living in the USA at the time were in a very precarious position. Japan attacked the USA and caused thousands of deaths. Arab-Americans got death threats after 9/11 and a campaign was launched to defuse the anger. During WWII, just the opposite happened. A campaign was launched to make Japanese appear evil and stir the anger in Americans. How safe were these Japanese Americans? Not very.
