Bush was not really in charge of the Texas Rangers. He was a ceremonial leader given a cut-rate piece of the action in exchange for special political favors. I read an article about his experience there. The Rangers stadium was built on land Bush helped force the original owners off for peanuts. And rightwingers are supposed to believe in private land owner's rights.

Speaking of peanuts, he never went to the office but had free box seats and ate tons of peanuts cheering a lot. He really is a great cheerleader.
