I just about shot my coffee out my nose with that one. I'm so sorry. I hope it didn't do any damage to your nose or whatever was beyond your nose at the time. <g> You aren't serious, surely... I can't help it. I calls 'em as I sees 'em. I'm always willing to be enlightened if you'd care to try. The UN, to me, is an entity that provides a stable forum to keep all the countries of the world on speaking terms, a convenient venue for countries to air grievances and take positions, and perhaps to get together and do something useful in the world once in a while. I realize that the participants take themselves very seriously and may be high-minded or pompous or both, thus fancying themselves paragons. And I recognize a certain last-best-chance mentality that has some elements of paragonism/paragonity/paragonation <g>. But that institution is way too disfunctional, even corrupt, to be a model for anything more than good intentions and wishful thinking.
