It was probably just a typo of a few letters: "...killing n-o-t_e-n-o-u-g-h_o-f these leaders would just lead to more violence and new leaders."

"Steven, JohnM, et al, have constantly said that killing these leaders would just lead to more violence and new leaders. Not as easy as they thought."

Many folks compare terrorist orgs to LCN ("the Mafia" which on many details is quite wrong, but — whatever...), yet for some parallels, LCN was invincible for several decades and generations. Now, you can't pay a goomba enough to fill John Gotti's or Chin Gigante's slot. LCN is quite broken, every Family, from Gambino to Bonanno is operating at 10% or less of their 70s-80s strength, and everyone is afraid to take a leadership role. Despite any Leftie assertions, cutting off the head of the snake really does wax the critter. We're starting to see that in ME. "Tribal" thing, ubetcha. Whack Arafat and a few of his 2nds would wrap up a lot of problems.

We should all hope that Steven and JohnM are wrong. I'm afraid, as of right now, the slide down into more violence goes on.
