Hi Andrew,
Left wing profs really do live in an ivory tower, indeed one probably constructed by Karl Marx. It's a perfect world where marxist dictum flourishes because all live in harmony. Except for the exploited kitchen help or the illegals who tend to the campus or the black kids on athletic scholarships who are this generations slaves whose talents are used to pay the salaries of those same left wing perferssors.
Both my kids went to the same school back in the 90s. My daughters graduation was pretty nice. When my son graduated and academic awards were given out there were awards given to all and then virtually the same awards given to minorities. What an insult. If i were a minority kid and i got one of those bogus awards, i would have refused to accept it. Dont get me started. MIke

His tendency to believe, known also as "bias", directs his thought processes.

Ah, we are all "biased," Andrew. It is the filter we use to make judgements with. And we like those with the same bias.

JohnM thinks also but he just doesn't think carefully enough and well enough. His tendency to believe, known also as "bias", directs his thought processes.

I always wanted to meet someone who thought they were God. Above it all, as it were. Unbiased as it were. It is definitely a big problem with academics. Good to know it's no respector of political persuasions.
