I'm saying "rich" is in the eye of the beholder. I would suggest that the half of American families making 42k a year or less would consider those making 200k a year or more "rich".

People who whine about college expenses for their kids and the taxes they pay often seem "rich" to those struggling to make the mortgage payment and buy food. I don't think I'm "rich" either, but I know people who do.
