Let me test my understanding of your thesis, as best I understand it, in simplified form:

Because it is now so expensive to add a new production line($200M), semis have more incentive than ever to keep supply consistent with rising demand. By adding capacity in a cautious manner, one line at a time, semis will either prolong the semi-equip cycle (50% probability) or eradicate it altogether, depending on demand.
