We are making progress.

You have conceded that Hersh never reported anything about India being part of the plan. He only said that the US and Israel had contingency plans to secure Pakistan's nuclear weapons under certain circumstances. You believe that this is a lie because Bush said it is a lie. I view it as an entirely credible scenario.

Now let us address your statement but whose hypothesis was this anyway let’s go back...fiction and figment of small mind..

I am not able to make up my mind whether some of your comments are just outright lies or whether it is your inadequate command of the English language that causes you to misstate what some one says.

This is what I said:

I speculated that India could also be coopted if it came to this. It would not be in India's interests to have a nuclear fundamentalist Islamic regime as its neighbor and especially one that has fought several wars with India - but India, like Israel, will take its lead from the US

The key phrase here is "I speculate" - and if you look up a dictionary you will see that "speculate" does not mean a statement of fact. It means that it is "not based on fact or investigation" - according to Webster. I even explained my rationale for it. Now the rationale may be flawed - or it may be valid. But that is not the issue at hand.

You even used the phrase "Hersh and his cronies" - the word "cronies" appears to be a reference to my support of his position. The definition of cronies is "a longtime close friend or companion" - which certainly does not describe my relationship to Hersh.

If other information that you post is as inadequately researched as the loose manner that you used the terminology mentioned above, how much credence can be placed on such data?
