Kerry realized around 1992 that he had been too liberal in some ways. He joined the Clinton centrist revolution. They balanced the budget and they created 6 years of enormous prosperity with fiscal responsibility. Kerry will never change back to the old ways after that stunning success with the economy. Bush has ruined all that so now Kerry is going to have to fight to regain fiscal sanity. Hopefully pork barrel Tom DElay will be gone from power by then too. Otherwise we'll still have a fox minding the chicken coop.
