Hi tooearly.

((suddenly the WAR on drugs and terrorism just became very clear to me: crystal clear. much bigger than law enforcement's self-interest.))

It took the better part of 3 years of light nights at coffee shops reading patterns in history, economics, political economy, "deep politics", propaganda and media studies, etc. before the "big picture" started to crystalize for me. I still remember the incredibly uncomfortable existential feeling when I started to understand how "dark", how incredibly sinister and unaccountable the "really big picture" was. And the deeper the insight into the patterns, the WORSE it got, not better.

Now, it's just how I understand the world. But initially, there was definitely the feeling that the way I saw the world was crumbling under my feet. Don't know if you can relate to this experience, but for me it was VERY uncomfortable.

For anyone looking for some good reading material, the bibliography in the 3rd installment of Catherine Austin Fitts' "Narco-Dollars for Beginners" is as good a place as any to start. "The Boys on the Track" book (and story) is incredible. It documents the murder of two teenage boys out hunting one night who stumbled across the Mena Airport CIA drug transport hub in Mena Arkansas (which BTW, was instrumental in smuggling of cocaine into the inner cities of San Francisco and L.A. in the early 1980's, and during the time when Bill Clinton was Governor of Arkansas, to finance the training of Contra guerrillas in the Honduras. This story is very well told in Cockburn's and St. Clair's telling of Gary Webb's ordeal in their book Whiteout - the CIA, Drugs, and the Press). I heard one of the boy's mothers speak about her experience in trying to bring accountability into the investigation into her son's death and it was and is a truly remarkable story.

Anyway, enough context of the Catherine Austin Fitts perspective. Just further reading material if anyone is interested.

Best wishes,
Glenn
