Yes, I had seen most of these before. If you'll notice, what they say is that the CIA was involved, whether by giving information or more substantially is hard to make out, in the 1963 coup that put the Ba'ath in power. At the time, Saddam was not even a player in Ba'ath politics; he was still a hit man in exile in Cairo. None of these stories say that the CIA put Saddam into power or favored his faction at a later time.
