Have you considered that in a real crisis, the internet may not be working by government fiat or by destruction by, for example, a terrorist event or war or some natural catastrophe.

Claude, the main reason that i don't use Goldmoney is because i don't trust that i'll always be able to get my money back out of it.

a lesser reason is that i don't like the yearly fees of 1%. (i haven't checked them lately).

and a minor reason is that the account didn't seem easy to set up.
