Sorry, but the tax "loophole" thing is old and not going anywhere, except with those that do not understand the tax code. These books are written for people that make less money and want to be subsidized more.

Even the mortgage interest deduction is a regressive loophole that should be eliminated

A lot of people toss around the term "regressive" wrt taxes.
